MINORIA: TEXIS in Chicago — Chicago Art Fair & Spectrum Chicago 2026

ORAC Gallery’s October 2026 programme in Chicago comprised three distinct presentations: the MINORIA: TEXIS booth at Spectrum Chicago; a special presentation of The Monolith by Blaze Lojewski in Spectrum Chicago’s entrance area; and a special presentation of works by Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski and Mike Baur at Chicago Art Fair.

1. MINORIA: TEXIS — Spectrum Chicago, Booth 2102

From 7 to 10 October 2026, ORAC Gallery presented MINORIA: TEXIS at Spectrum Chicago 2026, THE MART, Booth 2102. Curated by Monika Turczyńska, the presentation brought together works by Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski, Mike Baur, Victoria Fuller, Joyce Yu-Jean Lee, Blaze Lojewski, Alicja Maciejko and Chantia Malaja.

TEXIS names a temporary act of joining: distinct artistic languages, materials and ways of seeing brought into relation, each retaining its own autonomy. Painting, sculpture, mixed media and digital imagery formed a setting in which proximity and contrast opened new ways of reading the works.

2. The Monolith — Special Presentation at Spectrum Chicago

Alongside the gallery’s booth, The Monolith by Blaze Lojewski was shown as a separate special presentation in the entrance area of Spectrum Chicago.

3. Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski and Mike Baur — Special Presentation at Chicago Art Fair

ORAC Gallery also presented works by Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski and Mike Baur in the open space at Chicago Art Fair. This presentation brought Oraczewski’s painting and Baur’s sculpture into dialogue in a shared setting. The fair’s official exhibitor directory lists ORAC Gallery in the CAFE area.

Developed between Warsaw and Venice, MINORIA explores trace, memory, perception and the space between. The Chicago programme extended this curatorial enquiry beyond the gallery, while preserving the distinct voice of each practice.

We thank the participating artists and everyone who visited the presentations. The fairs have now concluded; the dedicated Chicago website remains available to explore the works and artist biographies.

Presented by ORAC Gallery. Curator and author of MINORIA: Monika Turczyńska.
