Info

MINORIA — Lumen Absconditum Lumen Absconditum is a new chapter of MINORIA, conceived as a field in which presence is not fixed but revealed for a moment. Lumen is understood here not simply as light, but as an event of disclosure — almost an epiphany. Something becomes visible without becoming fully possessed by form. Bound to absconditum, the hidden or withdrawn, light becomes paradoxical: a hidden light, a revelation that never reveals everything. In this exhibition, the artwork does not enter the gallery as a conventional object. It appears through projection, moving image, photography, light and, where relevant, sound. Light is not used to illuminate the work. Light becomes the carrier of the work itself. The image emerges from darkness, crosses surfaces, architecture and bodies, and disappears again. It may be sharp or fragmentary, stable or almost imperceptible. Its presence is temporary. Within the language of MINORIA, lumen absconditum names the moment in which presence makes itself felt without being fully captured by form. Darkness is therefore not absence. It is the condition of appearance. The exhibition does not construct a linear narrative or a progression toward culmination. Works appear as impulses within one field — independent, transient and held in tension with one another. Lumen Absconditum is not a presentation of images by means of projectors. It is an attempt to create a situation in which the image can exist without the object.
