A Space Gallery presents MINORIA: Afterimage, a concentrated return of works by Józef Krzysztof Oraczewski previously encountered across MINORIA in Venice in 2026, joined by new works from the Broken Masks series.
What remains after the image has passed? Afterimage approaches the image as something that does not disappear with its immediate presence, but persists in memory, perception and matter.
Earlier works return here not as a retrospective, but as accumulated traces of previous states of the project. Images that emerged, condensed and receded are brought together in a single field, allowing the history of their appearances to become part of the installation itself.
The new Broken Masks intensify this condition. Fractured glass initially disrupts and obscures the image; over time, as its transparency changes, the concealed form begins to reveal itself. The image is therefore not given at once. It must pass through time.
